My Experience

Sebastian Shaskus:听 Finance (minor in International Business and Spanish)

Uruguay, Spring 2023

鈥淚f you鈥檙e planning on studying abroad, definitely do it! It can certainly be scary at times and if you're going to a country with a vastly different language and culture the culture shock may get you the first few weeks, but I promise after you get through settling in, you're due for the experience of a lifetime. You'll also meet some great and likeminded people and make lifelong friends and memories. Also, financial aid is very generous and in total the whole thing cost about the same as a semester at 兔子先生传媒文化作品. 兔子先生传媒文化作品 and each specific program also offer scholarships as well!鈥澨

Jordyn Fearon:听 Pre-law

England, Summer 2023

鈥淚 always had a dream to study abroad because I thought it would be such a fun and exciting experience. Even if you're considering it just do it. Living in a new country is such a fun and life-changing experience鈥

Karsten Gaffne:听 German

Germany, Fall 2022

鈥淢y biggest piece of advice for students wanting to study abroad: just take the leap. Take any opportunity you can while abroad because you never know what you'll get to experience. It might sound scary, but you'll never know if you don't try. Your friends want to take a 7-hour train ride to Poland for thanksgiving break and they invite you? Go with them! There's a concert going on tomorrow night at a club in town? Dress up and have fun! There's a cute guy in your study abroad group? Ask him to go on a date with you in Hamburg! You never know where your study abroad trip will take you, during and even after your life abroad.鈥

Scott Sobnosky:听 Public Health (minor in Chemistry)

Sweden, Fall 2022

鈥淒o it! It enriched my life with many unique adventures and experiences I wouldn't have been exposed to if I didn't study abroad. Start getting information about study abroad now if you are interested! The planning process is thorough and takes a while so the sooner you start the better!鈥

Anastasia Butler-Roger:听 Marketing (minor in Japanese)

Japan, 2022-2023 Yearlong

鈥淭ake a chance. It is more affordable than you think, there are a lot of scholarships, grants and more out there! It may take some time but if you put in the effort, I promise it will be worth it.鈥

Nicholas Borrillo:听 Spanish (minor in Latin America Studies)

Costa Rica, Spring 2023

鈥淚f you鈥檙e considering studying abroad, I would recommend learning the language so you can have a better experience and connect with as many locals as possible. Studying abroad will offer you an opportunity to deepen your understanding of other culture and gain lifelong friendships. It is a transformative experience, and you will come back to Toledo with a bunch of stories to share with your friends and family.鈥
