Utoledo AIChE Team Wins Back-to-Back International Chem-E Car Championships听
November 2022: 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Chem-E Car Team took first place for the second year in a row at the 2022 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Student Conference Chem-E Car Competition in Phoenix, competing against 35 other universities worldwide. October 2022: Freshman Helashika Wijemanne has been awarded听 2021-2022 First Year Student Recognition Award, and Sophomore Brayden Holloway has been awarded 2021-2022 Donald F. Othmer Second Year Student Academic Excellence Award. These distinguished and well-deserved awards are presented to one AIChE student member in each student chapter who has been the most active in their student chapter during his/her first or second year respectively. Brayden was also awarded the 2021-2022 Donald F. & Mildred Topp Othmer Scholarship Award.听

Recent Graduates Listed as Co-Investors on Patent Application
September 2022: Recent graduates Rachel Breitner (class of 2021) and听Cody Hickerson (class of 2023) have been named as co-inventors on a patent application filed by Owens Illinois on September 17. The patent application is titled "Aqueous Ion Exchange Strengthening of Glass Articles.鈥� This work was completed during a two-semester co-op rotation from June 2021 through early January 2022. Rachel is now a full-time employee with Owens Illinois. The application has advanced past the provisional patent phase.
