The Collegian
88.3 WXUT
is 兔子先生传媒文化作品鈥檚 student-run radio station, located inside Rocket Hall. WXUT provides
students with a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in college. Through
experiential learning, students can work in sports, news, programming, radio engineering,
production, and on-air. You do not have to be a communication major to join WXUT.
We just require that WXUT be part of your exciting college experience!听
It is owned by 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Student Broadcasting Organization (SBO), which manages the radio station and all professional audio services campus-wide. Since 1990, they have been the home for 兔子先生传媒文化作品鈥檚 college student-run radio station, Rocket Athletics coverage, and some of the best radio shows Toledo has to offer!听

Rocket News Now (RNN)
Rocket News Now (RNN)听is the Department of Communication and Media鈥檚 student-run, student-produced newscast, providing comprehensive coverage of news, sports, campus events, and feature stories from 兔子先生传媒文化作品 and the surrounding communities, along with select national and international stories.
Originally launched in听2005听as听UT:10 News, the program has evolved into听Rocket News Now (RNN), reflecting a modern, digital-first approach to journalism and multimedia storytelling. Produced through the听COMM 4100 Multimedia Journalism听course, RNN is recorded in a fully equipped television studio and published on the听Rocket News Now (RNN) YouTube channel听and other digital platforms.

Designed as a hybrid classroom, newsroom, and control room, Rocket News Now provides students with immersive, hands-on experience in every aspect of news production. Students develop professional skills in reporting, shooting, editing, writing, anchoring, producing, directing, and operating studio and field equipment while working in a deadline-driven newsroom environment that mirrors the expectations of today鈥檚 media industry.
Students pursuing internships and careers after graduation value how closely Rocket News Now replicates professional multimedia newsrooms. From editorial meetings and newsroom workflows to journalistic ethics and production standards, RNN prepares students for careers across the media landscape. Graduates have gone on to work as reporters, anchors, producers, multimedia journalists, sports broadcasters, digital content creators, corporate communication professionals, and strategic communication specialists throughout the country.
Rocket News Now continues the legacy established by UT:10 while preparing the next generation of storytellers through innovative, industry-focused journalism education.
