Celebrating Planck鈥檚 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics: The Many Implications of Energy Quanta
Join your colleagues for two days of collaboration, learning, and communication at the 2018 Fall Meeting of the Ohio-Region Section of the American Physical Society at 兔子先生传媒文化作品. This regional meeting serves as an ideal venue for students and science teachers to share research results through poster or oral presentations, discuss insights and interests, and form new collaborations in research and education.

Contributed Talks
The contributed oral presentations are each planned for a 15 minute block of time:听 12 minutes to present, 2 minutes for Q&A, and 1 minute for transition.
STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS
Full-time student contributors requiring financial assistance to attend the meeting may .听 We strongly encourage students to apply for the travel grant by the Sept. 7th abstract deadline.听听The final travel grant application deadline is Sept. 21.听听Note:听travel grant recipients are required to attend the OSAPS听meeting, and听to give a poster or oral presentation.听 Shortly after the meeting, travel grant applicants who have been verified as presenters will be compensated directly by the APS.
REGISTRATION
All pre-registration is now closed, and the only remaining option is to register in person at the OSAPS meeting.听 The registration table will be open and staffed from noon until 6:00 pm on Friday September 28, and again on Saturday morning September 29 from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.听 The registration fee at the meeting is $70 for non-members, $60 for members, and free for high school teachers, retired attendees, and all students.
Banquet and Lunch
Our apologies, but the deadline to order banquet or lunch meals has passed.听 The Friday evening banquet and the Saturday box lunch, which are optional, each offer three choices including a vegetarian selection -- these are listed on the registration form.听 You may request special dietary options such as vegan, gluten free, etc.听by registering, choosing your meal(s), and then emailing your dietary request to听OSAPSinfo@utoledo.edu .
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS and PARKING INFO
Book your room for the Fall 2018 OSAPS meeting at a nearby hotel,听 located just north of the University Main Campus on Secor Rd. (Group Code OSAPS). Parking Information:听 Anyone planning to park on the UT campus will need a parking permit, which can be obtained by providing听vehicle Year, Make, Model, Color, State and License Plate #,听either (1) in advance by email to OSAPSinfo@utoledo.edu or (2) in person at the Registration desk during the conference.
Please plan to enter the campus (see map) off of Bancroft St. on North Towerview Blvd., and park in Areas 5 or 10 (not Area 11, as this is a pay lot).听 From there, walk northward across the bridge and enter the Student Union听through the east entrance (near parking Area 11) where you will find signs to Registration/Check-in.听听
