Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization

About PVIC

WHO WE ARE

At the Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization (PVIC), we are committed to driving innovation, advancing research, and supporting commercialization in the field of photovoltaics. Established in January 2007 with $18.6 million in funding from the Ohio Department of Development along with $30 million in matching contributions from federal agencies, universities, and industrial partners PVIC was founded to strengthen Ohio’s photovoltaics research and manufacturing base.

Our mission is to eliminate market barriers for companies in the photovoltaics sector by bringing together academic, industrial, and government experts to foster cutting edge research and real world applications.

PVIC is home to an internationally recognized group of photovoltaics researchers and fabricators, offering an infrastructure that attracts established industry leaders and next generation innovators alike.
