Target Audience

For those who have never been exposed to Chinese.

Course Plan

The basic Chinese class has 10 classes each semester, once per week, starting in the second week of every semester.听听

Course Goals

After learning for 10 classes, students will know 100 Chinese characters, understand a simple dialogue through listening, have a simple conversation with Chinese, read the text including 80 Chinese words and write 50 Chinese characters.听听

Standard Course HSK 1, Author: Jiang Liping.

Class Schedule听

• Language: 50 minutes--Speaking: Learn how to speak the Chinese language.
• BREAK: 10 minutes听听
• Culture: 20 minutes--Listening: Learn about Chinese cultural traditions and current life.听
• Review: 10 minutes --Summary: Review what you learned today.

Course Plan

The Intermediate class has 10 classes each semester.鈥� Once per week, from the second week of every semester.听听

Course Goals

After a semester of learning, students can identify 120 Chinese characters and master more than 200 words, read 150-word text including different literary forms like dialogue, letters, and email, write 100 Chinese characters and communicate with other people in Chinese about daily life.听听

For those who have learned and got the level of HSK4.

Course Plan

The HSK5 level class has 10 classes each semester.鈥� Once per week, from the second week of every semester.听听

Course Goals

After one semester of study, students have completed half of the first volume of HSK5 textbook, and master more than half of the syllabus vocabulary and be able to speak, recognize and write. After one year of study, students strive to reach HSK5 level.
