Experience

Thomas Atwood, Director of the University of Toledo Press, also serves as the Dean and Professor of the University Libraries. He has published and presented nationally on information literacy, critical thinking, the function of collections, and library outreach to transfer students and student veterans. His works appear in the听Journal of Academic Librarianship, College & Undergraduate Libraries, Children's Literature,听and the听Journal of Religious & Theological Information.

Additionally, he has served on the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction for Diverse Populations Committee and as a mentor for ACRL鈥檚 鈥淵our Research Coach鈥� Program for over a decade. Atwood holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in English with a minor in Philosophy from Youngstown State University.
