The Ortho Experience at UTMC:
Medical student clinical electives are meant to be immersive and we want medical students to have more than a backseat role.Ìý You will be paired with a resident and an attending in different subspecialties of orthopaedics, rotating weekly.Ìý You will spend time in both the operating room and the clinic where you will see a variety of cases as we attempt to expose you to as many aspects of our field as possible. While on rotation in the Orthopaedic Department students participate in daily patient hand-offs and morning lectures with the residents and attending physicians.Ìý
