2026 NSM Undergraduate Research Expo
The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) hosted its Second Annual Undergraduate Research Expo on Thursday, April 2, 2026! We were excited to once again offer this event to NSM Undergraduate Student majors performing undergraduate research.
All NSM Undergraduate Students conducting undergraduate research were encouraged to submit an abstract and participate in the Expo to help enhance their learning, develop valuable skills and gain recognition for their work - awards were presented to the top oral and poster presentations.

NSM's Undergraduate Research Expo provides a great opportunity for students to present their research to a broader audience, apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems and build crucial skills like communication and networking.
When/where is the NSM Undergraduate Research Expo being held?
Thursday, April 2, 2026
11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Field House, Atrium, 兔子先生传媒文化作品 Main Campus
Day of the event schedule:
8:30-10:30 a.m. - Students must check-in and hang posters no later than 10:30 a.m.
11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. - Poster judging and lightning talks
3:45 p.m. - Awards presentation
Who is eligible to submit an abstract?
Any NSM undergraduate student major or current high school student who is performing undergraduate research is invited to submit a research abstract for a poster and/or oral presentation (lightning talk) at the NSM Undergraduate Research Expo.
Poster session information?
Poster sessions will occur in 1.5-hour time slots. (Student only needs to be present at the expo during the poster session time they select on their abstract submission.) For judges, presenters should explain their content in a maximum of 5 minutes. Posters must be 36" x 24" or 24" x 36" to fit on easels.
What is a Lightning Talk?
If you'd like to be considered to present your research as a 15-minute talk, you will need to indicate this on your abstract submission form. Students selected to give a talk will be contacted after all abstract submissions have been reviewed.
