Once you are classified as a non-resident for tuition purposes, you must petition聽to be reclassified as an Ohio resident by submitting an along with supporting documentation that demonstrates you have established residency in Ohio. The supporting documentation varies depending upon the residency rule under which you apply. Any institution of higher education charged with assessing residency reclassification may require the submission of affidavits and other documentary evidence which it may deem necessary to a full and complete determination under this rule. Fees will not be deferred because of a pending application. 聽Therefore, plan to pay all fees聽in full and on time to avoid late payment fees.听聽If Ohio in-state residency is granted, you will receive an adjustment in fees assessed for the term in which reclassification becomes effective. 聽If eligible, you will receive a refund. 聽Please note, any reclassification may change your financial aid eligibility. 聽If reclassification is denied, you may reapply for subsequent terms.听
